Important Disney World Vacation Planning dates:
499 days in advance is the earliest you can book your room-only reservations at Walt Disney World. This far in advance you need to call and book directly with a cast member of (407)939-1936 as online reservations are not available at this time. If you have your heart set on staying at a certain resort at a time like Christmas, and in a certain type of room you should think about booking this far in advance.
The 180-day mark is one of the exciting Disney World vacation planning dates one as this is when you can start to book your dining reservations.
Do this online or by calling 407-WDW- DINE (407) 939-34631. You can book up to 10 days of advance dining reservations at this time. Make sure to set your alarms as booking starts at 6:00 am Eastern / WDW time online and 7:00 am Eastern when calling over the phone.
Make sure that you start with booking restaurants such as Cinderella’s Royal table, Ohana, and Be Our Guest as these reservations can be very hard to find later.
You can also start booking add-ons at the 180-day mark. These add-ons include fun such as the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, Pirates League, tours such as “Keys to the Kingdom”, firework cruises, and dessert parties.
At the 60-day mark guest staying in On-site, Disney World resorts get to make their fastpass+ reservations. At 7:00 am you can either go online to My Disney Experience, open the app, or call (407) 939-4357 to make reservations with a cast member over the phone. The 60-day mark is also when Walt Disney World resort guest gets to check-in online. This advance check-in option is a great time saver and way to make sure you get what you need out of your resort stay. When you check-in early online you not only expedite the process once you arrive at the parks, but you can also specify an arrival departure time for your hotel stay. You can specify a number for Disney to text on your arrival day as well for when your is ready.
Early online check-in also gives you the option to make two room request from a list that is specific to your resort such as building location or a Pack ‘n Play in the room for an infant.
The 30-day mark in your Disney World vacation planning dates is an important one.
At the 30 days, out a non-resort guest can start to book their fast pass + selections.
This is also the day those who booked a Disney World vacation package have to make their final payment on.
Just like the 60-day resort guest, the 30-day Fastpass + window opens at 7:00 am eastern time. The biggest difference between having the 60 and the 30-day non-resort guest window is that for a non-resort guest you can only book one day at a time, and not all at once for the full length of your stay. I also think this is a great time for resort quest to modify any fastpass selections they may want to change… learn how to do that HERE.
